About Samantha Alder
I’m a mom, a Christian, and a domestic violence survivor. I know what it’s like to live in a house where the light has gone out. Art is how I found my way back, one small beautiful thing at a time, and now making it is how I hand that light to someone else.
I’ve never been able to pick just one medium. Oils, acrylic pours, ceramics, and lately jewelry. If there’s a craft I haven’t tried yet, I want to learn it. I love finding new ways to be creative, and I enjoy the variety of beauty that comes with different art projects. Every project is a reminder that God is still making beautiful things, and He isn’t finished yet.
I paint landscapes because wide skies and open fields fill my spirit with peace, joy, and warmth. Nature is breathtaking. I make pieces meant to lift a room, to catch your eye on a hard morning, to make an ordinary day feel a little more like a gift. A percentage of every sale goes back into the community, because light was never meant to stay in one house.
The other thing I love is people. I’ve spent eight years teaching and building learning programs, and I’m bringing that to the studio. Local workshops are coming soon, and my dream is a real space of my own where kids and adults can walk in, get their hands messy, and create something in a place that feels safe.
If I could tell you one thing, it’s that you don’t have to be an artist to make something. You just have to start.
Thanks for being here, I hope my artwork brings a smile to your heart! ❤️
